Taters - Makati

Taters tries to stay relevant with product enhancements and partnerships, their latest gimmick being the Cheetos coated potato chips, fries, and just plain Cheetos on the side. I for one enjoy a bit of a junky cheesy delight once in awhile, but I came here for a quick take out snack, while my friend ordered a quick meal. I ordered a family sized Popcorn in a resealable pack with a dusting of sour cream powder, while my friend had a reliable hot dog chili that fell into his stomach, consuming it in a few bites, gosh he was hungry, the sour cream fries was fairly strong, but not overly so that I'd for water. Taters is my favorite snack shop before watching a movie. Serving awesome snacks from flavored popcorns to hotdog sandwiches. And now, partnered with Cheetos, they have a Cheetos snacks as well. This branch even offers free delivery to the your respective seat in the cinema. I've had their NY Churkey sandwich combo. It was chicken-turkey sausage in a sesame bun topped with pickle relish, ketchup, mustard, and mayo. The sausage was cooked right and was juicy and crisp. Even though they are just getting it from a supplier, it was good. The fries was perfectly fried and crisp. The whole deal was P150. Sad sad popcorn. What is happening Taters. Your popcorn these days are not fresh. Although service was good. Very friendly from start to pick up. It's just so disappointing that your star product is not what it used to be. A bad day perhaps? I hope so.

Tried the Beef Hotdog Classic. Seasoned well, hard casing (indicative of a good sign) overall, delectably pleasing. Topped with ketchup, mayo, and mustard. The bread was of high quality with sesame seeds, crumbly, soft, and fresh. Worth a try.

What I love about Taters is their flavored popcorn, brewed iced tea and fast service.   You can mix and match 2 different flavors in 1 bag (both for Little League and Major League).  Isn't that great?  Depending on my mood, I like to have the savory flavor on top (barbecue/sour cream/nacho cheese) and the sweet flavors at the bottom part (butter or caramel).
