Bidrage med feedbackGreat food, bad service. I wish there was a possibility to choose for something else than to like it or not like it we have eaten in wasabi for years, and eating is always excellent. I think it says there are often tons of Japanese people eating in washabi. Unfortunately, the service was really bad at a recent visit. it was one of three times in my life that I decided not to leave a tip. water glasses were empty, which I can forgive. the service was slow, although the place was not very busy, but I can forgive. what was frustrating was that the sushi we ordered did not come until the three other meals were finished. we could say when she asked...read more
Good sushi, subpar entrees.. We ordered spicy tuna rolls, which were very good and quite reasonably priced. However, I ordered the hibachi chicken with vegetables, and the plate was very, very underwhelming. The portion was generous, and for $13.50, it should be. The vegetables were bland and the chicken had almost no flavor whatsoever. The hibachi chicken was almost watery. On the brighter side, our waitress was very attentive and very friendly. Maybe I just went on a bad day for food, but because of lofty prices for bland entrees, I don't plan on going back anytime soon.
Always amazing. Not much beats sitting outside overlooking State Street and inhaling a Rainbow roll and whatever other delicious specials they have on a particular day.
The special rolls were interesting and creative, and worth the average $10, but the basic vegetable rolls (avocado, oshinko, asparagus, etc were satisfying enough. Our favorites were generally the inside-outs, the Autumn roll of tempura squash, cream cheese and avocado with toasted sesame seeds, and the Lambeau roll that combined slightly tart, sweet mango with avocado, a bit of salmon, and snappy orange roe.
Good eating bad service. they have been coming to Wasabi for more than 10 years for the great, authentic Japanese food. Unfortunately they recently began to hire the waiting staff, which does not know how to use properly 1. they bring us a dirty dish 2. appetizer and escaped came all from the order 3. forget them, in an apologe 4. has not put in our extradition order until we were finished eating, although we ordered it at the same time the worst they did not recognize or apologize when we pointed to their mistakes.
