Fried Green Tomatoes - Macon

Okay, this place is just incredible. First of all the staff is incredibly nice and the food is consistently good. I've had both the pork chops and the barbecue chicken and my family has enjoyed their vegetables and their fried green tomatoes. The bathrooms also were remarkably clean. I have traveled around the world and I find this to still be one of the most dining experiences that represents the best of southern hospitality and cooking.Vegetarian options: Cheese grits, cabbage, sweet potato souffle, macaroni and cheese, broccoli and rice casserole, fried potatoes, Fried Green Tomatoes, green beans and rutabagas

The staff are excellent, but the food isn't as flavorful as it used to be. It seems that many restaurants have compromised on quality and taste lately.

I absolutely love everything about this restaurant! You definitely have to try the green bean casserole; it's the best!

This is my first and last visit to this restaurant. I'm very disappointed. The potato salad is overwhelmingly bland and taste so plain, almost like a raw potato. It lacks any seasoning—no relish, no onions, no salt, no pepper, no mustard, nothing at all. The pork chop is also completely unseasoned. The only reason I can stomach it is that it’s fried. The prices are way too high to throw food away, but unfortunately, this is going straight into the garbage.

They have always been great at this location. Staff has always been friendly and the quality and amount of food you get for the price is hard to beat. Ive dined in and visited the drive through more times than i can count.Vegetarian options: There is a veggie combo option on the menu as well.
