Capital Pizza - Lubbock

We enjoyed the pizza at the smokehouse, and it was truly fantastic. It’s definitely among the best five pizzas I’ve ever tasted. The atmosphere had a charming western rustic vibe. It’s a cozy spot that's perfect for catching a football game while enjoying a cold drink.

My wife and I have been coming here for several years, and we’ve always enjoyed the fantastic and consistent service. Every experience has been perfect, and I’m not sure why I’ve never left a review before. I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts this time because this place is a true gem for pizza lovers. Whenever we visit Lubbock, this is our go-to spot for delicious large calzones and a variety of other options. I highly recommend it!

The pizza was absolutely dreadful. The cheese was excessively thick, and taking a bite felt like chewing on congealed, lukewarm cheese. I attempted to eat more, but it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. I won't be ordering from here again. What a waste of money.

The meatball sub was lacking in sauce and had very little cheese. The bun was burnt, and the meatballs were plain. The club sandwich also fell short on sauce, and the wings were soggy and might have been undercooked.

I visited Capital for the first time last week, and it exceeded all my expectations. The atmosphere was unique, the service was professional and attentive, and the food was fantastic! My sandwich was spot on, and the potato salad was incredibly tasty. My friends also loved their meals. The location is excellent and conveniently close to the campus. I’ll definitely be back in Lubbock next time! I really appreciate that it’s a local establishment.
