Lorne Central - LORNE

On our Australian trip we had been advised that Lorne was a wonderful place to stop. It was. Poor accommodation was great but just below or accommodation was the best thing ever. Lorne Central.With big airy rooms and veranda tables, Lorne Central is typical of lots of places we ate at, the prices comparing well too. But the food? Oh my...My Chicken Ceasar Salad was amazing. The rest of the family had equally amazing food. And best of all my half vegetarian family were completely satisfied. Of you are going to Lorne eat at Lorne Central. Period.

We stopped in Lorne on our way back to Melbourne after a winters drive along the Great Ocean Road. Plenty of parking available, clean toilets, cosy setting, best carrot cake we have ever eaten and the log fire burning while we enjoyed afternoon coffee oh and a delicious warming irish coffee, cheers and huge thanks to very accomodating and friendly staff.

We ate here for breakfast twice as we couldn't get enough of the awesome menu and service. The cocktails by the fire in the afternoon and night were excellent too and again the service was exceptional. Special shout out to the manager/owner? who's customer service was excellent with many laughs and made our weekend. We can't wait to come back!

We had a lovely dinner food was paired so well. Really great hosts made us feel at home.. also the shelf with all the goodies on was great. Had to take a coulpe home!! Will be back
