Bidrage med feedbackSouth-london, from one reason or another, always falls short on the wrong idea of being the wrong side of the river, so I decided it was time to try to change the heads of men. the diamonds in the rough kitchen that through my research of the local independent restaurants, said to integrate a Vest vibe of cocktails, service and of course delicious cuisine, brings me to joanna 's, embedded on Westow Hill, crystal palace, in the notorious 'triangle'. Since 1978, with window seats with the best views on the city, has to offer southern iondon's own unique twisting,
South is not a place I often visit, but a trip to my dear friend valentina (senior writer for cook pour) and het new baby presented a opportunity to review the food offered south of the river. I love trying new places and discover new food. they can comfortably get in their own zone. we were also at pascal who visited a few weeks to london. Crystal palace’s high street reminds me of primrose hill. a small village vibe with independence dominate the road. no flooding of known chains here. joanna is a brasserie that reminds me of cafe boheme in soho. it had remnants of the French style, but the menu itself is not mostly French cuisine....read more
That was a really nice restaurant, the staff is really polite and make them so welcome. for the starter I had the 'special' for the day that was lobster linguini, partly was exactly right and they could taste how fresh the lobster was...lovely start to the meal. I followed this with the pan roasted sea bass, kartoffels and green beans- the sea bass was crunchy on the outside cooked with soft/flaky meat to perfection. the only disadvantage was that the whole dish had a little more taste, as it was quite basic with aromen. for dessert was the sticky toffee pudding with ice - a word amazing! I will return

Exemplary food, service and venue. This charming, charismatic restaurant adds a touch of class to your evening. It's like stepping back in time to a place where romance isn't dead and sophisticated food isn't compromised by size or price. Greeted at the door by a doting waiter, he takes your coat and leads you to the bar to relax with one of their gorgeous cocktails. They're worth every penny (roughly £8-£10 each), I had a Winter Berry Mojito which was delicious and the man had a Mai Tai whilst we enjoyed the view of the London skyline, sparkling in the distance. We moved to our table for the evening and started off with a round of Nocellara del Belice olives (the best olives ever...read more
