City Barbeque - Lexington

Lexington is full of excellent dining options, but this place stands out from the rest. Without a doubt, it's the best barbecue you'll find this side of Nashville. The service is friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming, down-to-earth atmosphere. And the barbecue? It's the best I've ever had! I can’t believe it took me so long to visit. I often take my little Yorkie to Feeders Pet Supply for a wash, and I always meant to stop by City Barbeque. They even gave my pup a complimentary bowl of pulled pork! Great people, just as impressive as the food!

The brisket sandwich was one of the best I've had. We love coming to City barbeque. Every time we ask for small extras such as pickles they are happy to help and service is always friendly. Love coming here. I would love it if they brought back the gumbo!Food: 5/5

We visited this restaurant for the first time and had a great experience! The food was delicious, with the Texas toast standing out as one of the best in town. The meal was quite affordable too. I'm not trying to criticize City BBQ, as I usually love their food. The brisket is my favorite, but this time it was disappointing. It was tough, didn't taste like brisket at all, and lacked that smoky flavor. While I generally enjoy City BBQ, I've noticed that the taste can vary significantly between different locations. Unfortunately, this experience was not up to par. Food rating: 1/5.
