Braum's Ice Cream Dairy Store

I typically enjoy Braums, but I had a really disappointing experience there recently. I ordered a large Coke float, and when I got it, the ice cream was just sitting on top of the Coke. In all my years, I've never seen a Coke float prepared that way; the ice cream should go in first, followed by the Coke. Not only was the ice cream on top, but once it settled, I was left with at least an inch and a half—or possibly even more—missing from my cup. Essentially, I didn’t receive a large size; it felt more like a medium or even a small. I was very dissatisfied. I called and spoke to a manager, but she insisted that was how they make them, which didn’t sit well with me.

We have visited this restaurant several times, but each visit has been disappointing. I specifically asked for the sauce to be served on the side with my burger, but that request was ignored. The food arrived lukewarm and tasted stale, as if it had been left out for a long time. With only 2.5 stars, it's no surprise this location is struggling. They really need to enhance their food quality before they risk shutting down. It was once a lively spot when it first opened, but now it's uncommon to see many patrons, which I believe is largely due to the poor food quality. It’s truly unfortunate—it's not just subpar; it's genuinely bad.

The food here is fantastic, and I really appreciate the fresh market they provide. They have all the essentials in a conveniently compact space, allowing you to easily grab what you need without having to wander through a large supermarket just to pick up a few eggs.

This evening, we both enjoyed chicken for dinner, and Dad decided to try their vanilla shake. He absolutely loved it! After that, I made a quick stop at the market to pick up some half-and-half, whipping cream, and bitters. Then came the tricky part—choosing three pints of ice cream. I went for the no sugar added vanilla chocolate chunk, while Dad chose banana walnut. It was a wonderful way to kick off the Labor Day weekend!

The burgers were low on vegetables, and the patties appeared to have been frozen for quite a while. However, the ice cream was truly amazing!
