Roemerhof - Leukerbad

Due to the COVID-19 measures, we were forced to dine 3 evenings in the hotel 's own restaurant. (see separate review Hotel Römerhof Happily, it was absolutely not a ‘must’: We have wonderfully eaten and were wonderfully served for 3 evenings long. A special thanks to the waiter couple and the slightly older assistant, who have mastered the evening rush multilingual with great friendliness and professionalism, without being intrusive – Chapeau – Well done! About the food: All pasta that we have consumed, were al Dente, the sauces well balanced and as they should taste. What we have eaten in meat chicken there is nothing to complain about and also the pizza tasted well.As my wife drinks no wine, the 0.35 l bottles seemed overpriced to me. There is a Dole from Valais in the open bar, which also does its job quite well. The prices in general are about what we also pay in a restaurant in the city of Bern. The atmosphere: The restaurant has a Wallis chalet style. Despite the open space, the tables are arranged so that everyone has their privacy. We felt very comfortable in a cozy, “alpen-stylish” ambiente.

Unglaublich feine Pizzas wie man es sonst nur von Italien kennt. Einfach ein Traum, dünner Boden und mächtig fein belegt !!!

Das Essen war hervorragend, sehr gute Vorspeisen und die Pizza war sehr sehr gut. Beste Calzone die ich in den letzten Jahren gegessen haben. Der Service war recht gefordert und aufgrund des vollen Restaurant im Stress wo ich auch Verständnis habe. Die Wartezeiten sind völlig in Ordnung aber der Service hat Luft nach oben, was die Nachbestellung von Getränken anbelangt. Aber im Grossen und Ganzen, kann ich das Restaurant sehr Empfehlen.

Obwohl das Restaurant voll war, wurden wir sehr schnell bedient. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und gut organisiert. Das Essen wurde in gut 15 min an den Tosch serviert. Das finde ich top. Zum Essen kann man sagen, dass es nach Art des Hauses ist. Eher deftig aber richtig gut. Wir würden wieder dort essen gehen! Nur zu empfehlen!

Lange Wartezeiten, altes Brot und zu warmer Wein insgesamt eine Enttäuschung! Wir können das Lokal leider nicht empfehlen.
