Whistle Stop Coffee Mercantile

You guys have stolen my heart, but specifically Savannah. That girl NEEDS A RAISE. She is the most genuine person I've ever met. She helped me navigate the menu, offer to carry my food, and receive the best service I've ever had. Very thankful for her because after an extremely long and hard day she was the smile I needed to make it better. Thank you savannah, and thank you whistle stop coffee shop. I will be seeing you soon!!

Really upset with the service here. Every time I order online they can never find my order when I come in. Today I order ahead and gave them 35 mins to get the order ready. As this happened every single time. When I got there after another 10 mins they still didn’t have my order and when I asked about it the workers couldn’t seem to figure it out. Which happens constantly. I get mistakes and things happen but every time is a bit much and to top it off the workers being confused and not knowing how to problem solve or who to ask for help is confusing. When I asked for a refund after 45 mins of waiting because I was late for work the worker also didn’t know how or who to ask to do that and just seemed as if she wanted me to figure it out. I myself work in customer service having been a barista and I know how important it is to make moments right and figure it out. If I was early and didnt give them enough time then that’s on me, but the fact it happens every time and I order here several times a week and I ordered 40 mins in advance knowing how they operate for them to still not have it ready and can’t figure out a solution on top of it. Not happy.

It continuously takes 20 min for one coffee; 2 customers who had paid and were waiting before me left without their drinks bc they had been waiting so long. Always disappointed it takes so long while 3 people are behind the counter chatting.

Terrible experience, I had such high hopes. I was so disappointed at Whistle Stop after all the good things I've heard. I got there at 8AM on a Saturday, after getting my coffee (which was too cold to be a hot latte), they made me wait 25 MINUTES for the most gas-station sandwich I've ever had in my life, which also cost about $8. I'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt and try again but the wait was ridiculous considering there was no rush and like 12 people working. The latte was good, but cold. So disappointed and I was made late for work!

I love Whistle Stop. It is my favorite Lee's Summit coffee shop. I have only one complaint. The scones are overcooked. They even look overcooked in the display case. The scones use to be moist and very tasty. Know they just look like an overbaked cookie. You are awesome Candice. Todd.
