The Loft On Central Avenue - Laurel

Jessica was the BEST server!!! she was awesome and we will be requesting her on our next visit!

I arrived at the loft on a Friday evening around 7 PM and managed to secure a table. However, it took an alarming 1.5 hours for us to receive our appetizers, which consisted solely of fried mushrooms and fried oysters. For the main course, we ordered a burger and a po' boy. While I can understand the slower service due to the restaurant being busy, this wait time is simply unacceptable. When our entrees finally came out, my dish was overcooked, and when I requested a replacement, the burger was still raw. After spending two hours at the restaurant, we ended up with just a baked potato, two appetizers, and a disappointing shrimp po' boy, all for a total of $56.

The atmosphere at The Loft is inviting, featuring dim lighting and rustic decor. Our server was outstanding, promptly refilling our drinks and checking on us several times during our meal. Overall, our experience at The Loft was very positive, and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the Laurel area looking for a nice meal in a relaxed setting.

We waited 10 minutes for our server to notice that we were at one of her tables. Although our drinks were served and orders were taken, there was some confusion with our salads. After the busboy cleared our empty plates, the server forgot whether she had already served us our salads. We received our entrées but didn't see the server again until we had to ask the host for our bill. I ordered a potato casserole but ended up with a baked potato instead. On the bright side, our drinks were refilled. However, after the server took our payment, she gave us almost two dollars less in change. The food was great, but the service was lacking.
