Fratello’s Italian Grille - Laconia

The food here is absolutely exceptional! I visit regularly because my brother plays the piano wonderfully—it truly makes him a "Piano Man"! The dishes are perfect every time. I always order the penne pasta with Rosa, and it’s consistently delicious! The staff are always friendly as well. Keep up the fantastic work, Fratellos!

The bread came with three mysterious dips, which I later discovered were spreads. The olive oil and garlic oil had no flavor at all—how is that even possible? The butter didn’t look or taste like real butter; I mistakenly used too much on my bread, only to spit it out because it was far from what I expected. The cheese could have been great if it had come with crackers. It was a traditional soft cheddar cheese spread, which ended up being the best thing I had all night. I hadn’t been to Fratello's in ten years, but since my name ends in a vowel, business lunches always seemed to happen here, and I often left my meals unfinished. This time, I tried the simple marinara with a meatball and sausage combo. Unfortunately, the marinara was completely lacking in flavor. I tried to salvage it with some grated cheese, hoping to improve the taste, but the cheese tasted awful—definitely not Parmesan. The meatball was acceptable, but the sausage was undercooked, so I left it on the plate. In fact, I left about 70% of my pasta untouched because I simply couldn’t bring myself to finish it. Fratello's feels like an Italian restaurant for those who don’t genuinely appreciate authentic Italian cuisine. I’m sure there was garlic and some seasonings in there somewhere, but I certainly didn’t taste them. It's bland and might suit those who want Italian food without experiencing the full spectrum of flavors that Italian cooking has to offer.

This charming Italian restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and serves freshly made breadsticks that are delightful. The homemade Alfredo sauce is outstanding, and you can definitely taste that the lobster is fresh and never frozen, adding to its delicious seafood flavor. The drinks are on the stronger side, which I actually appreciate as it feels like good value for your money! The live piano music was a lovely touch, featuring a wide variety of songs. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely come back again!

We were greated by a friendly host and asked if we had a seat preference . He sat us upstairs saying is a little nicer . Our friendly waiter came over promptly to take our drink order. I got the special margarita which was very good. He delivered warm delicious breadsticks with butter and oil dipping. They were so good got a 2nd basket. We ordered the chicken parm eggrolls. Adult kids and husband loved them. They were fried perfect and filled with chicken. Husband got the lobster roll which was filled with lobster and the fries were delious very crisp. Daughter got the chicken saltimbocca HUGE portion with a ton of pasta. She just thought it was just over sauced but still delicious. My adult son got the bowtie pasta alfredo. He loved it. I got the chicken carbonara which was very delicious and a huge portion. We got desserts to go. My key lime pie was good crust was a bit on the well done side. My husband enjoyed the chocolate cake and both kids really liked the peanut butter pie. Would we go back absolutely. Great food, good portions and friendly service are the reasons we would return

Fantastic meal tonight. Alyssa was an amazing waitress. She was attentive, personable, and did great with my kids. Food is very reasonably priced for magnificent portions. Cheesecake was huge and fit for two. Highly recommend the espresso martini, nice dark cocktail. To boot, they had a live pianist playing to provide a great atmosphere. We will be back for sure. It makes me wish I was a local.
