Promiscuous Fork (the) - La Jolla

I highly recommend this place! The Ring O Fire Burger was fantastic, and I really loved the chipotle cream sauce—so much so that I asked for extra to dip my fries in. The mac and cheese with short rib was also outstanding. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the service was friendly and efficient; they patiently guided us through the best menu options to help us decide. The indoor seating area is small, but there's additional outdoor seating available. It's a great spot for a quick meal with quality food. There are so many more menu items I want to try; I hope to return soon!

We took a trip to La Jolla during our kids Spring Break trip. This restaurant wasn't near our hotel and I'm not even sure how I found it, but it was one of the highlights of our trip. We haven't stopped talking about the smashburger that's new to the menu. I wish I would tell you what was in it. I remember it had caramelized onions. It was a burst of flavors in my mouth. I wish I could have one right now. The brussel sprouts was superb. The service was top notch. I can't remember her name, but she has a necklace with her sons name on it. Thank you for the great service and food.

They were good, but not 4.7 stars good (as they are right now on Google reviews). I typically give reviews a lot of credibility, and I was a little disappointed. However, I would definitely recommend the blueberry cheesecake.

4.5 out of 5 I really wanted to give this place a full 5 stars. I'll start with why I couldn't and end with why you should come here anyway. Cons: I ordered from here twice, and both times I got the pesto chicken sandwich (YUM) with different sides. The first time I ordered the garlic Parmesan fries and I got so many! I was very happy with the portion. The second time I got grilled veggies for an extra $3 and while they were delicious, I got three cauliflower heads and four large slices of squash. After seeing the fries portion AND paying an extra $3 for grilled veggies, I was disappointed in the portion size. See photos. Also, I'm a ranch girl, and their homemade ranch is dying for more herbs. Pros: The food was great (except the ranch). I tried the brussel sprouts, chicken sandwich, Mac salad, Verde Cesar side salad, PB&J cheesecake, and the garlic Parmesan fries. I was very happy with the taste of all of the things I got! The service was great. They were fairly busy but both times I was there the food came out quickly and the people behind the counter were patient, friendly and helpful. During the dinner rush the server knew many people's names and showed they had a lot of regulars. Inside it's cozy and hard to feel out of place, even for someone like me just passing through. It's small inside but they have an outdoor seating area with pretty lights at night. I very much recommend this restaurant and am happy to give them my money!
