We went to Drew’s Bayshore Bistro for an early Father’s Day dinner. The Voodoo shrimp is absolutely delicious, the cream sauce soaked jalapeño cornbread underneath the perfectly cooked shrimp was an added bonus to a dish that is a welcomed departure from the usual shrimp preparations. From there our entrees: the swordfish special, pork chop and jambalaya were all delicious as well. We finished with the bread pudding dessert, a nice sweet way to finish an outstanding meal. As a diner I always appreciate the use of local and seasonal ingredients on restaurant menus, and I felt that at Drew’s you could really see the thought and care he put into crafting his menu and dining experience. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable when we mentioned it was our first time dining here. The one star I took off for “atmosphere” is simply because the place could be a little loud, so if you’re dining with people sensitive to that it might be something to consider. With that said, I would happily dine here again excited to try more of the menu.
Excellent food! Makes me want to get back to New Orleans! Only restaurant I’ve seen that does Broiled Oysters almost as well as Acme Oyster House in NOLA, and that’s a huge compliment!

This place is on a whole other level compared to most restaurants in NJ. Drew is a celebrity worthy of his rockstar status. What they can do with a giant pork chop here almost defies the laws of physics. Flavors that will blow your mind. Starve yourself and then go here and eat everything.
