However, after the pandemic, things have changed significantly. A large food truck was introduced on the property, and the pool area is now fenced off. While the pool is exclusively for hotel guests, it is just a meter away from the new food truck, which attracts hundreds of day visitors daily. As a result, we often had to deal with the noise of children at the pool. It’s unfortunate that things have changed so much, and we’ve decided that we won’t be returning. Additionally, we had to bring to management's attention that after a stormy night, the pool was full of leaves. Almost every morning, we noticed an employee dragging a water hose through the facility and the pool area.

This is a lovely spot for a quick getaway for couples. Key West is a destination that you should experience at least once in your life. The roosters add a charming touch to the atmosphere. Definitely a bucket list check!

What an absolutely stunning place! The staff went above and beyond to help my fiancé plan a proposal, even down to booking us reservations at latitude! One of the best boutique hotels in the nation. The property manager was so kind and passionate about this property. You could feel the history as she spoke about it. The details of the property are what you 'd expect from the caliber of a mansion where presidents, as well as Al Capone, have been entertained.The rooms are all different and you get to choose the actual room that you want to stay in. This is so nice as opposed to the hotels nearby that assign you a room on check-in. The location is fantastic as you are feet from the southernmost point monument, 3 minutes from Hemmingway house, and less than a 20-minute walk to Duval Street. There is a patio that is so relaxing and great for people-watching, that I could spend the whole day up there.The restaurant 's lobster pizza is fantastic and the drinks cold and strong. This hotel is for those who love an experience and comfort in an upscale environment. Great overall and if you 're looking for a Somewhere in Time Grand Hotel experience, this property is perfect.
