Bidrage med feedbackI had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service felt insincere, and I was surprised to discover that everything on the menu was vegan, which made the food taste quite bland. I can understand why the business has closed down. Now, the space is left vacant, but there are political messages plastered on the windows, including phrases like "gay rights" and "trans rights" for everyone to see, especially children. It seems there's a bitterness about their closure, as they left behind slogans like BLM. The atmosphere felt filled with hate and divisiveness. So, to the folks who created this environment, I say goodbye; you won't change Hawaii into something it isn't. We support our local police, HPD.
The flavor combinations at this restaurant were absolutely delightful, and I didn't even realize the items were vegan until later. The Likikoi cruffin and the chocolate coconut caramel kouign amann were both wonderfully flaky. The staff was friendly and the service was prompt. We enjoyed our experience so much that we ended up going back several times. I can't wait to visit again on my next trip! (Apologies for the duplicate photos; they keep showing up even after I've deleted them.)
This is the BEST bakery on the island, without a doubt! Make sure to support local businesses and help keep this shop thriving! Their vegan pizza is among the best I've ever tasted! Additionally, their sandwiches are absolutely delicious and incredibly comforting!
My favorite bakery on the island, I drive all the way from town just to get pastries from Mothers. Their selection is so unique that you can't find it anywhere else! Every time I go, I try something new and they always provide me with new options. Nothing has ever disappointed me and I will continue to support this local business! One of my go-to items is their cruffins! They are to die for and a must-try! I also get their coffee and bread which are amazing too!
A great place for a breakfast pastry especially after watching the sunrise at Pillbox Hike which is about 10 minutes away! I got here about 8:20am on a Wednesday and was a short line in front. There were a ton of pastries, baked goodies, and sandwiches lined up behind the display window that you can choose from, but I've heard that they can sell out quickly, so just a heads up! Even though you order outside, there are signs saying that masks are still required, so don't forget your mask! I got the haupia lilikoi cruffin, which is a cross between a croissant and a muffin; basically croissant dough baked in a muffin tin. The cruffin had so many layers and was topped with colorful sprinkles that sweetened the pastry and served more of an aesthetic purpose (but that's what sprinkles do lol). The cruffin was filled with lilikoi (passionfruit) curd that was tart and slightly sweet. The haupia flavor didn't really come through though, but the lilikoi was still tasty. There was so much curd that I was trying so hard to not let it spill. The cruffin was about $6 which I thought was a reasonable price for a pastry. Would recommend this small local business if you're close by!
