Tuin 10 - Jordaan

Leuke en uitnodigende plek! Het ziet er van binnen helemaal gezellig uit. De menukaart is een beetje een wirwar van gerechten, waardoor er niet echt een duidelijk thema is. Dit zorgt er wel voor dat vegetariërs en veganisten hier ook terecht kunnen. De porties zijn niet klein en de prijzen zijn redelijk. Het personeel kan beter, ze vergeten af en toe wat. Ik zat uiteindelijk met drie lege glazen op mijn tafel: dat kan echt niet! Aan te raden? Ja. Geweldig? Nee.

Very busy but still had a great time. The waiters were curt but courtious and the food prepared with care. Cosiest neighboorhoud in all of Amsterdam, i think at night this is a pedestrian area, at least i didn't see any cars passing through the street all night. This made the outside seating area so much more attractive, the street felt like an indoor area with other bars and terraces adjacent. I think this is very typical of the Jordaan neighbourhood, one of the must sees in Amsterdam. Would come again! I almost forgot: choice of interesting local beers and IPA's on tap!

Our walking tour ended late and we were looking to have a late Sunday night dinner. Another restaurant that was not able to accommodate us recommended Tuin 10 down the street. Robert welcomed us in and asked the kitchen if they would stay open for us. It ended up being out best dinner in Amsterdam. We ordered the falafel appetizer, goat cheese croquettes, and the poussin. All the dishes were amazing with the falafel and the poussin being stand out amazing. The only thing that could top our amazing dinner was the even better desserts. We had the cheesecake and panna cotta. Overall amazing dinner!! Thank you!!!

Il était trop tard pour petit déjeuner, trop tôt pour déjeuner... Nous avons donc opté pour le Brunch chez Tuin 10, dans le quartier des 9 Ruelles. Si la décoration nous a plu (comme dans beaucoup de petits restaurants amstellodamois, on retrouve les coussins, plaids, bougies, tableaux d 'art contemporains), le reste nous a subjugué ! Nous avons tous deux pris, mon chéri et moi, un Brunch complet : un oeuf au plat servi sur une tartine, un yaourt, du muesli, des morceaux de pomme et de poire.... Le combo parfait pour ce lieu plein de charme !

This is a lovely bar in the Jordaan with friendly waiters and good Kraft beer on tap. We had one drink outside in the sun, a Brouwerij'Tij Zatte which is an Amsterdam brewed triple beer. This is full of flavour and one of the best local IPA's I've found so far. The barman came over with some olives and I spotted another beer I wanted to try so we moved inside and had a Tank 7 which is a hoppy American pale ale by Boulevard they had on tap. We were given even more olives! We love olives! :D This bar also has a lovely upstairs area with a sunroof and plants and its would be a nice place for a chilled couples brunch. They also serve a range of food including Greek salad and tart flambee which is an Alsace pizza with bacon, onion and cheese on a very thin base and a great choice.
