As soon as we sat down, the wine list was taken away before we even had a chance to look at it, with the excuse that they were "making room." Really? We ordered cocktails and a Pellegrino, but were served a Saratoga without any mention of the change, which has never happened to us before. Then, the rush began. We placed our dinner orders, and while the appetizers arrived—an excellent lobster bisque and great lump crab meat—we were not finished eating when the waitstaff rushed in to clear our plates. We had to tell them we weren’t done, only for them to return moments later, still eager to snatch up our dishes. It felt like we were in a fast-food restaurant with the constant hurry. Our waiter wasn't very friendly either. While the filet mignon was quite good, the strip steaks were tough—a stark contrast to the expectations we had. On a positive note, the ice cream sundae was enormous and delicious, but overall, the experience left much to be desired, especially for a $500 bill. The service was the main issue; the staff seemed frantic, rushing around as if they were being chased. Despite the restaurant filling up, there was no long line waiting to be seated, so I couldn’t understand the urgency. Additionally, we often had to pour our own wine, which would never fly at places like Tellers or Rothmans. Sorry, Jimmy Hays, but you dropped the ball this time. Please take a hard look at your service and the quality of your steaks; both need improvement.

This was the best steak I've ever had! The service is excellent, and the drinks are equally impressive. It is on the pricey side, but when you're after the best, it's worth it. Make sure to book your reservations well in advance. The valet parking is a nice touch as well. I always order the Chateaubriand for two and the smothered garlic bread during every visit—it's absolutely mouthwatering! The ambiance is really enjoyable too.
