Winston's Coffee Waffles

The waffle sandwiches may be worth five stars, but I don 't know because I just had a vanilla cappuccino and that 's what I 'm basing my mini review on.As you see from the photo the foam is disappointing not thick and silky smooth from tiny bubbles too small to see, the way it SHOULD be, but rather weak with too big bubbles. The foam was half way collapsed by the time I 'd had a few sips. The coffee (espresso) didn 't taste bad, but, it wasn 't remarkable. I 'd been hoping to get lucky and find a great cappuccino, but sadly, I did not.

Delicious waffles! Perfect in every way! Quick service and great value!

I got a matcha latte and it was literally a cup of milk with a hint of matcha flavor. Was barely even green. So disappointing :

This was my first time at the truck instead their East Market location. It was really cool to experience another side of Winstons, especially with the knowledge that this food truck is their original and first location. It's this happy little oasis parked in a lot in cozy Clintonville. The vibes from the staff were friendly, happy, and warm and when you see happy employees, you feel good about being a customer.I ordered an Empire- the waffle filled with sausage and smothered in fried egg, mayo, cheese, all the fixins, the sweet waffle with all the hot savory ingredients was such a treat, and it was fresh and luscious. I had a gorgeous lavender hazelnut latte to sip on for the drive home.In the short few minutes I waited for my food and drink to be ready, I observed both seasoned loyal regulars show up to order, as well as new people.It was a cold spring morning, I couldn't wait to dig in- I hate half of it in my car, and devoured the rest when I got home.They have a fun loyalty hole-punch card program, you don't see a lot of that these days, I think that's a really cute touch.

Very enjoyable breakfast with the family this morning. All the are missing is the choice of chocolate chip.
