J's Sweet Treats And Wedding Cakes

There seemed to have been a bit of miscommunication with the Yelp elite event. A group of 4 of us made the drive to Polaris Mall to pickup the cookie dough. The person working (perhaps the owner? explained to us that somehow the Elite event was overbooked and there were no longer any cookie dough jars available for us, which obviously is a let down and seems disorganized for the typical Yelp events, but she offered a treat from behind the glass as compensation which was very nice. I also ordered a chocolate covered rice crispy treat for $5 that just tasted amazing. I highly recommend! The caramel cupcake I had was very soft and delicious! The food tasted really great and the chocolate was so authentic. The shop is decorated very well and looks very good inside. However, I will say I was a bit turned off by the service. It appeared as if we were a bother to the owner whoever was speaking to us. We were not rude or upset by the lack of cookie dough available. I thought we were all pretty gracious about it but the person we spoke with seemed bothered by us ... just not super welcoming but hey maybe it was an off day. If I'm ever in the mall area again I would definitely go back for the quality of food, but I think I'd feel more comfortable if they weren't so stand-off ish?

Wonderful shop with lots to offer. There's pastries, Velvet Ice Cream flavors, cookies, brownies and other awesome looking treats. Also a variety of knick knacks for presents. The Yelp surprise was a chunk of chocolate chip cookie dough which you formed into balls and mine ended up making 7 good size delicious warm cookies right from the oven! I ordered a white chocolate coated pretzel stick coated with mini M&M. So delicious!! J's Sweet shop has it all for anyone and any occasion!

J 's Sweets and Treats is a brightly lit, cheerful oasis on the upper level of the Polaris Fashion Place Mall. As I approached the store I noted that there were some small tables outside the door perfect for sitting with someone special and sampling treats from J 's! inside I found shelves and glass front display cases filled with wonderful confections! this is a woman owned and minority owned business. As I chatted with the owners daughter I learned that there are two locations: this one, and another in the German village area near Children 's Hospital on Parsons Avenue. Great for someone who works or lives in the downtown area. We also shared stories about how our families have special recipes! Like my mother and grandmother, her mother has special recipes that she only shared when she felt her daughter would be ready and appreciate the importance of family traditions. I like this idea and it makes the food here so much more special and unique. In addition to sampling some take and bake cookie dough, I asked for recommendations on what might be a favorite item. This led me to purchase a delicious piece of cheesecake, with chocolate flecks throughout and let me tell you it was fantastic! I bake the cookie dough tonight in my own oven at 350° and it was as flavorful delicious as promised! I was glad to hear that there is a downtown location, which is super convenient. I plan to visit again sometime soon!

The chocolate brownie was very large, moist with a good texture and had just the right sweetness. The merchandise was also for the baker. I was really tempted to buy a bowl scraper, can you believe it?

Milan absolutely loved her cake! It was perfect. We will get all of our cakes from here from now on.
