The Nip Inn - Inverness

This is a great bar with fantastic staff and friendly locals! They serve a good pint at reasonable prices. The atmosphere might not be upscale, but that’s only a problem if you have a snobbish attitude!

The Nip Inn, located on the outskirts of the rough Merkinch area in Inverness, has garnered a reputation as a bit of a dive. However, it may not deserve the strong reputation it currently holds among the city's youth. While some of the older patrons might have a rough edge, the decor does reflect the public perception of the pub. Fortunately, the regulars tend to keep to themselves, allowing you to enjoy a seat, a good pint, and a chat with friends—or perhaps a game of pool if that's more your style. The staff are always in good spirits, contributing to a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

This is a fantastic little local bar located near downtown. Cath provided outstanding service, and we would definitely return!

I had a wonderful Sunday afternoon and evening at The Nip. The company was great, and the staff were fantastic. The little bingo session followed by entertainment made for a lovely day. The staff are on point; you never have to wait long, and they're always cheerful and friendly. Oh, and did I mention that the prices are very reasonable? It's a great pub with a wonderful group of regulars. I love it!

Local bar with excellent atmosphere. We were slightly disappointed that the Caley Best tap was off but the pints we did get were very good. We'll definitely be back next time that we're in Inverness.
