I only visited this place as a fishmonger and didn’t dine in, but I received excellent advice and ended up buying a delicious turbot that I hadn't tried before. It was fresh and fantastic. While it's not the cheapest option, you definitely get what you pay for—fresh seafood is unbeatable! Rating: 5 for food.

Excellent choice of the freshest fish and shellfish found anywhere in Ilfracombe, The staff are so helpful and very pleasant ... nothing is to much trouble. S and P fish shop is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for Quality. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Whenever we visit Ilfracombe we always make sure to eat at S P, we've been visiting for many years and the seafood is always good. This experience was even better though as it appears the menu had been revamped. We had the smaller of the seafood platters which came with half a lobster, a dressed crab, mackerel fillets, smoked salmon, shell on prawns, crevettes, de-shelled prawns, mussels, cockels, crayfish tails and whelks along with salad, dips and bread and butter. The fish was delicious and the portion size was good. The seating area is also dog friendly and the staff made a fuss over our giant breed dog and made sure he had water and treats. The only downside was the whelks were a bit small and flavourless but apart from that the rest of the food was fantastic. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
