Bubba's Texas Burger Shack - Houston

I enjoy sampling burgers from various places, and this one was fantastic! They are freshly made to order and feature nice, thick patties. I'm glad I opted for a single patty because a double would have been far too filling! If you choose a double, make sure you come with a big appetite! We sat outside on one of Texas' beautiful days and had a great time. I would definitely return and might try the patty melt next time. I had a bacon cheeseburger with added mushrooms.

My brother first took me to this restaurant nearly 20 years ago... wow, time flies! I’m embarrassed to admit that I hadn’t been back in years, so I was pleasantly surprised to find it still in business. The burgers are just as amazing as I remember. My friend devoured his burger while I took my time to enjoy every bite. The potato salad is fantastic, and I found myself wanting seconds. They have a few TVs, so you can catch the game while you eat.

The burger was decent, though a bit on the expensive side. The bison is leaner and has a drier texture compared to a regular beef patty, which some people might appreciate for its lower fat content. However, it could benefit from a bit more flavor and seasoning. If this restaurant didn't use bison as a draw or wasn't located in such a unique spot, it might struggle to stay in business. I wish I could rate it 3.5 stars, but I’ll round up to 4 because the service was friendly.

This place has been consistently great every time I have come here for the past six years. I highly recommend the bison burger. The bison packs a whole lot of clean, fresh meat flavor with very little greasiness. Add a soft fried egg for an extra treat anda silky, creamy texture, although I'd also suggest a slice of melted cheese and jalapenos on top of that for a nice variety ofcontrasting flavors. Others, there are plenty of other topping choices on their menu. The only bad thing is having to sitoutside in the heat to eat, as there is no indoor seating available, although if this is a very big problem for anyone theirburgers are always available to go.

Tried for first time based on reviews. I wanted to order as basic a burger to taste the quality of the beef and bun. First impression was a nice fresh taste of lettuce and tomatoes. Cheese was normal American and the bun almost had a chiabatta texturetaste, still good. The young lady who took my order was very nice and helpful with recommendations. Overall, burger to me wasnot as flavorful and juicy as I hoped for. To be fair, the 1/3 pound patty was cooked well done. The taste of the patty remindedme of pre made ones you get from Costco or Sam?s. Not much seasoning for me. I?m glad I at least gave it a try.
