Lake Taco - HOOD RIVER

Food was great. Our server was nice. No drink menu though and server didn't know what drinks they had. So a second server eventually came, who didn't tell us about what drinks they had, took our margarita order and eventually brought us our drinks... eventually. They don't have sour cream except for jalapeno sour cream so the kids were disappointed and upset. They didn't have avocados and neglected to tell us this when we ordered dishes with avocado. Other than that the food was really good. The kids burrito was large and very good. Tacos, morena, huarache, quesadilla were all very good. I may have had high expectations, but everything here was just mediocre. The carnitas burrito was very bland. From the meat to the cheese, no flavors coming through. The service was a little slow, and the temperature in the dining area was pretty warm. Maybe it was a bad night.

A must stop any time I’m in Hood River. Amazing food, friendly people, great location.

Lake taco has good tacos and the macho burrito is very macho. I wasnt even able to finish my burrito. The macho burrito let's you pick two meats as well.

The food was good but we had to wait a long time because we ended up being forgotten about for a bit, which isn't a big deal and the waitress apologised profusely... But it would have been nice of the restaurant to offer something for the inconvenience, even if it was just taking the soda off of the bill or some more complementary potato chips. Just a bit frustrating when you know that a different kind of person that like to complain a lot would probably get a free meal out of it while people who don't like complaining get nothing.
