Altona Beach Bites - Hobsons Bay

I brought some foreign guests here for their first taste of fish and chips. We ordered our grilled flake and sat at the table and chairs in the shade outside, overlooking the beach and bay beyond. Our fish was of generous proportions, well cooked, inexpensive, and came with a piece of lemon and a fork to eat with. It was one of the best I have had. As the swans flew past I joked to my friend that he was now a man eating shark.

Love stopping by in summer and ordering a double header licorice waffle cone at this shop, then going across the road and finding a table and chair to sit and watch the day's activities Along the esplanade and on the water, very relaxing just kicking back and watching what's going on around oneself

This restaurant is a fantastic spot to visit with the kids, offering great value for the price. You can't go wrong with their affordable and welcoming atmosphere.

Love the Fish ' n ' chips from Altona Beach Bites. We will drive 20 mins from another suburb to enjoy this by the beach. I love the grilled fish & the potato cakes are the best I have eaten. My partner has difficulty choosing from the extensive menu which includes 'Kiwi faves'.
