The Standard - Hobart

Had been hanging out to have a burger at The Standard and wasn't disappointed. The textures and tastes hit the spot. My only preference would be for less mayonnaise, so will ask for less next time. Loved the fries!

If you want fast food, don't come here. There is eat in dining, or the take away down the alley. The menu seemed a bit different outside, there is no burger called the standard outside, but there is in. Inside also has wings and other options. The burgers were good, we also had the loaded fries which to me was mystery meat, with sauce and mayo with cheap shoe string fries. I would give the fries a miss.

We ended up eating in the takeaway area as the restaurant was (unsurprisingly for a Saturday night) full. The burgers arrived pretty quickly, and was easily one of the best I have ever had. Malted shakes are great, and the fries are crisp and delicious. Good value for money considering the quality of the food.

Havent been here for a little while but when i need a burger there is always a good feed to be had here, happy staff delicious burgers, had a reverse cowgirl and an El Jefe from the specials menu, the former being the better choice, the El Jefe was very nice but the reverse cowgirl stole the show. Went with 5 friends. When we ordered we asked how long the wait would be and we were told '25 mins, and quicker if we ordered burgers only'. It took an hour and that was with considerable nagging... this meant we were late to a show and had to eat burgers on the run (literally!). Burgers were tasty but a bit salty for my liking. Probably the sort of place you'd enjoy in you are a in your teens/20s and are willing to wait.
