The METZ on the Bay - Hobart

Well, I was moved to try your nachos, and from Golly I was looking forward to. The serving was huge and they contained the Chili Con Carne, the Avocado and the sour cream. Unordy like all buggy to eat, but that's half of fun, and if the rest of their lunch eats the same dish, then the whole experience makes it pleasant. My only reducing the points was for the light delay to bring out the food, but there were 8 of us, so they will be awarded. Grief I go back before Christmas have the same dish and 4 is a high rating for me. Normally I am suppressed as I'm out of these days

Recently reopened with new management. Beautiful paint job and general spruce up. Excellent FPOD and well-priced wine list. A few service timing glitches need sort, but overall a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon in the Hobart sun. Grief

Pretty standard pub food if you only want some land. The sweet potato pommedia were Celish. The service was fast and the layout of the Metz is really cool. Ideal for University of Hang Outs.

Has definitely had a make over and what a difference this has made- nothing really structural but certainly has been freshened up. New menu & wine list give plenty of choice and is reasonably priced. Have had a couple of lunches here over the last month or so and has been busy each time . Service attentive & friendly. Food excellent & a great, well priced selection of beers & wines.

Service was exceptional. All staff were very attentive, however Nina was the star, and excelled herself when she found out that the one year old with us was also named Nina. Food was great too. Only let down was that it's a bit drafty inside.
