The Nomad At The Osbunn - Hillsborough

Delicious food with lots of food and drink variety without an exhaustive menu. The atmosphere is beautiful and music was low enough to have a conversation. Would visit again!

Absolutely love this place. This is our date night spot for good reason. The food and service are phenomenal, and the building is really cool. Hillsborough is lucky to have Nomad!

Set in the historical Osbunn Theater and nicely restored to the original exterior facade. The interior has original brick and floors as well. Very cool ambience. Server was friendly and on point. Appetizers, entrees and dessert were good. Very nice dinner out. Parties over 4 people are considered large parties and gratuity 20% is added.

We have ordered take-out from Nomad many times and have dined in the restaurant three times in the past 3 months. Usually the food is delicious (although a bit pricy . Last night we took a visitor there and my husband and I ordered dishes we have had many times (Kung-Pow shrimp and Tofu Pad Thai . The service was great, but we independently decided and discussed the next day that the food just wasn't as good as usual. My Pad Thai lacked vegetables (just scallions and bean sprouts and just was not as tasty as usual, and the tofu was fried to death (can tofu die? . I hope this was just a one-time thing, and maybe something was just off in the kitchen on a Tuesday evening.

We began with drinks, trying the Palomo (a gin twist on a classic) and a pineapple sage jalapeño vodka cocktail. Both were delicious and refreshing. For appetizers, we ordered the Red Thai cauliflower, which is one of the best dishes I've had from Nomad (and that's saying a lot because everything is so good), and the Peruvian chicken kolaches. Both dishes were a huge hit with our group. For our main courses, my wife chose the spiced pork bowl, her go-to for takeout, while I opted for the Besan Battered Cod tacos, and my brother-in-law had the ropa vieja tacos. Everything was as delicious as we have come to expect from the Nomad kitchen. Keep up the fantastic work, and welcome to Hillsborough, Nomad! We're so happy to have you here.
