Don't be put off if you walk into the bar area which is very casual as the restaurant area is lovely. Good, substantial food and friendly staff.

Went on a Tuesday night, walked past bar into the restaurant which was empty. Returned to bar where waiter/bartender was apparantly sitting at. He had seen us walk by but didn’t feel the need to welcome us. When we asked if we could have something to eat, we were notified there was a party in the restaurant, and the bar served a limited menu. So, we took a seat in the bar, and ordered tomato soup and a burger, which was basically all that was available. No problem, can’t go wrong with a good burger, right? Boy, were we wrong. The soup was ok, but the burger looked like it had been deep fried. It was thin, very dry, and very tasteless. The best comparison I can think of is a piece of cardboard. On top of it there were some deep fried onion rings, lettuce and tomato, and there was some onion-style sauce served separately. We didn’t finish the food, asked for the check and walked out. The bartender didn’t ask once if it had been ok. I don’t think we have ever eaten that bad in a pub before, and I sure hope we won’t ever again.

Went here today as it was my mum’s 70th and just so happens it was Mother’s Day. Had an amazing carvery there. Nice no fuss selection of great food. Service was good and waitresses and the chef were friendly and great service. Highly recommended

We went here with friend for a Friday dinner. Wasnt over crowded, so really enjoyable atmosphere. Haggis bonbons were absolutely delishiuos! had salmon for the main and it was also very tasty. Defo would recommend and be coming back soon!

Fabulous meal, fabulous wine, fabulous service. You will definitely enjoy your evening. Great location easy to find. Cosy and comfortable restaurant xxx
