If are white, female, and middle age, expect great service. if you are black, don?t bother coming. Today we arrived at noon. By 1:15 we got up and went across the street to Chipotle. One of us had to be to work by 2. We ordered chicken and waffles andan omelet. We also ordered bruschetta as an appetizer. Our waitress refused to provide basic service like, water before takingour order, straws, or our food before a whole hour and 15 passed. The staff doted on the many tables of white middle agedhousewives. We got up and went to pay for the coffee we drank and was told by the thin white blond male manager ? y?all canjust go.? There was no apology given for serving us cold food over an hour later, never receiving the straws we requested fourtime so we could drink our water, or the overall lack of appreciation for our patronage. As we left, I looked around andthought, why were we treating so differently. We did not ask for anything that wasn?t on other tables? hot food, straws, anddecent service. We were the only black patrons there. They really went out of their way to make the distinction.

I?ll begin by sharing that the manager handled the situation very well. But I would still not recommend eating at this establishment. We came for lunch and ordered the Malibu sandwich and the Shrimp Avocado salad. The chips served alongside thesandwich were astonishingly stale. When we asked our waiter if we could get a fresh batch, he shared that the new batch would befrom the same bag so they too would be stale. He offered us some fries instead. When those arrived we found that the fries hadCLEARLY been portioned and sitting under a heat lamp for lunch service. Not fresh or recently placed in the fryer whatsoever. Sowe couldn?t eat those either. The Malibu sandwich itself was basic, bland and we would probably have been better off picking upa sandwich from a supermarket with more flavor! The Shrimp Avocado Salad came with only 4 shrimp? most restaurant standard is atleast 5 or 6 and worst of all, I had to pick through the salad for fresh leaves as most were inedible and wilted (see photos)

Not a bad place for a meal! Clean with a friendly staff. Burgers looked good. The bolognese I had was alright. Chicken and waffles was a mixed bag. Waffle was solid. Chicken wasn?t seasoned at all, which came through even when doused in syrup. Decentvalue though.

Great atmosphere and underwhelming food. My friend orders the Fish and Chips which is $18.99 and gets only one piece of fish and a bunch of fries. You're paying for fries. I order a pizza margherita and it comes out nothing like one. Dough is chewy andundercooked which made me sick and run to the bathroom. Google what a Pizza Margherita is and you'll see what you order herelooks nothing like one. Very disappointed.

I am a fan of quirky coffee mugs, and this place delivers. We went there on a Saturday around noon. The place was busy, but they run a well-oiled machine here, so we were seated immediately. The place has good energy and a welcoming vibe. Our serverwas very friendly, even though she was juggling way more tables than one could. We had chicken and waffles that came out yummy.The sweet syrup that comes with it went really well with the chicken. We also had a chicken cold sandwich. This came withhomemade chips that were the right amount of crispy and tasty. My Maryland omelette (that has crab meat) was also quite welldone. And as I said above, the coffee was strong, just right, and the mug was fun. The food came in like 15 minutes. That?s justamazing in these busy times with staff shortages everywhere. Incidentally I have been to a number of breakfast places as oflate, so the food is definitely four star compared to those. However the service is just plain excellent and the ambiance isawesome. A 5-star experience overall. Will visit again when in town.
