Best Deserts in South Carolina! Worth going out of your way for.

We were on our way to a weekend in Summerville and while driving the backroads came across this bakery......my recommendation if you life on planet earth you need to buy a couple of hundreds of their cupcakes. They are indescribable good. Not only do you get to see life off the interstate but you get to wallow in a level of decadence we mere mortals rarely get to experience.

Kid-friendliness: They really cater to kids, always ensuring they are taken care of.

What a delightful surprise in this quaint little town! The sandwiches, soups, and pastries are absolutely fantastic. The dining area is cozy, with just about eight tables. Be sure to check out the photos shared in other posts!

On the wedding day, both cakes were delivered. The groom's cake was beautifully decorated, but the wedding cake was not. It had none of the decorations I personally brought to the owner. My son was even asked where the cake decorations were. Although my number was on file, I did not receive any phone calls. When I realized this issue before the wedding started, I and another person attempted to reach the bakery multiple times to find out why they hadn’t used the decorations I provided. No one answered, and I left a detailed message. I had to find something to quickly place on the cake just minutes before the ceremony began. This incident occurred on April 20, 2024. On the following Monday, I called to speak with the owner and was told she had already left for the day. I explained my situation, and the person I spoke with said they would have her call me on Tuesday. As of today, April 24, 2024, I still have not received a call or even an acknowledgment of their mistake. I am extremely disappointed, and I believe I have every right to be. A wedding cake is the centerpiece of a wedding reception, and to have a bakery deliver a plain cake while ignoring their error is unacceptable. I will not be recommending them for weddings in the future. While their food might be good, their service for weddings left much to be desired—at least based on our experience.
