Opa's Schnitzel Hut - Harker Heights

We absolutely adore this restaurant! We even have friends who travel from Houston just to enjoy a meal here!

The restaurant offers excellent German home cooking, and the owner is very welcoming and friendly! I've been dining here for years! It reminds me of my grandmother, and I miss her dearly!

I dined at Opa’s Schnitzel Hut today, and it was absolutely fantastic! I ordered the schnitzel accompanied by a bell pepper sauce, cucumber salad, and sauerkraut, and it was truly one of the best meals I've ever had! Wally, the owner and chef, is a joyful and cheerful lady from Germany who runs the place with great passion, dedicating it to her father—Opa means grandfather in German. The kitchen may be small, but the food is incredible and made with love. Everything is prepared fresh each day, with the exception of the bread, and the portion sizes are very generous. I can't wait to return!
