Smiley's Old Time Diner - Hancock

They are closed and need to update their information. We would have really liked to try their food!

We came from Westfield to Smiley's for lunch with my 87-year-old aunt. Our waitress, who had glasses and brown hair, was a bit rude and brusque when we inquired about the potato options and whether they had walleye on the menu. The food we ordered was good, but the service left much to be desired. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

The only downside was our female server. She was rude and disengaged, barely made eye contact or smiled, and didn’t check on us after our meals were served. When we paid, there was no “thank you” or any gesture of appreciation. I’m considering reaching out to Donna about this, as I believe this young woman might be better suited for a different role. Our experience with her was disappointing, but we would return mainly because the food was so delicious, and hopefully, we’ll have a different server next time. Please give this place a try!

The breakfast and lunch selections are fantastic! The Friday fish is amazing, and the Saturday prime is even better! You won’t be disappointed!

Neat small town family run restaurant with good food. the Saturday prime rib special is amazing! The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
