Bidrage med feedbackArrived just 10 mins before opening. Was told by manager that he restaurant wasn't open and I could read the menu posted outside. Just a few minutes later, an older couple walked up to the front door. The manager immediately opened the door and let them inside. I made a comment that I had to wait outside, but these people could come in before the restaurant opened? The man coming in mentioned that the manager knew him so that's why. So, a potential customer is me to wait outside? This had to be one of the most rude experiences I have had with a restaurant. I sat at the bar, and mentioned what happened to the bartender and she said that they hadn't opened yet. I mentioned that it still wasn't 4pm so it's the fact that the manager was willing to let these people in before the restaurant open, but not me. She walked away, and then I just decided to leave. If standard etiquette and kindness is not on the menu, I don't want whatever else they serve. Also, I could only imagine the service would be worse, as I would probably be made to wait longer than these two people who came after me.
Arrived 10 to 4:00 and wasn't allowed inside until a few minutes later an older couple came and was allowed inside. I made a comment and the gentleman mentioned the person recognized him. As a local, this is a great way to lose business. I live about 10 minutes away and was excited to try this restaurant for the first time. I will definitely not be back considering this horrific customer service.
An overcooked steak placed upon overcooked vegetables. The only pleasant part of this dining experience was the bread.
Get the Pork Belly and the Duck. Can’t go wrong. The Duck Duo is hands down one of the best things I’ve ever had.
CR’s is one of our most favored restaurants. Beautiful, lush interior and dimmed lighting makes for great ambiance. Thursday nights experience was a bit off for us. We were happy to have Lisa for our server. A loyal employee there some 9 years. We shared two sautéed crab cakes and Oyster Rockefeller. The delivery person failed to inform us the oysters were atop rock salt and not bread crumbs as we thought, soon spitting out the briny substance. The crab cakes were generous, lump and delicious. The arugula side was good. It took awhile for the Crispy Salmon to arrive. That’s fine, it was a special occasion and we were in no hurry. It was nicely cooked atop fried slabs of polenta, the zucchini pasta and sautéed tomatoes. It all worked together well. The Chicken Piccata was nicely sautéed but lacked the proper butter/lemon ratio. It cried for lemon flavor. Strawberry Shortcake completed our dining experience. It was an off-night but we love the place and will return again.
