Consistently great service by lovely staff especially Lauren. Food of course is very good.

Me and my wife have visited this location several times now, and the food is always great and the service is always very fast. The clam strips are a rare menu option that this restaurant pulls off very well, so give them a try if you're feeling adventurous. Excellent fish and chips though, which is what we're all really here for.

Fish tacos here are amazing, best in Guelph! You definitely need to try those, alongside the Haddock! Staff are very friendly, place always looks nice, locals recommend.

Stopped in Wednesday of this week for a first-time visit and super impressed. Clean, quiet, and modern decor restaraunt. Management keeps it super simple by offering the most core choices of fish and chips such that they are able to focus on speed of service and absolute consistency of product line. Unlike a lot of restaurants skimping out on portions in today's economic times, Golden Fish is exemplary in the size of filets and a bombardment of golden, non greasy fries as the accompaniment on your plate. Batter is super light, non greasy, tasty, and absolutely golden. Thank you for not wasting that nasty thimble of coleslaw other establishments dump on you as part of their meal. We never eat it, so it's such a waste of food.Prices are super reasonable all around and better than a lot of competition.In fish and chip establishments, often a discount in price results in a disappointing reduction in the size of a filet, lack of freshness of oil, and reheated fries. There is no sign of that occurring here. Portion size to value is killer with awesome quality. A lovely young polite server took care of my mum and us wonderfully, with a beautiful smile the whole time. Restaraunt is bright and clean. Consider this a massive rave and nod for another visit when I'm in the area again. Really, a good experience and appreciated immensely, especially considering every night out for us, is valuable with my mum being in failing health and possibly each outing is one of few remaining . All 1 star performance based on I made a reservation for 1oclock and the place should have been open earlier and the girl or employee showed up at 12:44 to open up because she said "my car was vandalized last night so.... "As if that is an excuse to be opening a franchise almost 3 or 4 hours lateJust saying not a good way to run a business also this made me bring our business somewhere else and I probably won 't support this place after this experience regardless of the 5 star reviews I 've seen
