Village Grille - Grosse Pointe Farms

For my main course, I chose the chicken wings. They were juicy and not excessively slathered in sauce, just the right amount of spice. The small dish of bleu cheese was topped with crumbles, which added a nice touch. My friend ordered a burger and thoroughly enjoyed it, calling it delicious. Overall, we had a fantastic experience that we genuinely loved.

This restaurant just keeps impressing me! I ordered the Reuben with onion rings, my wife chose the fried chicken, and my daughter went for the nachos. Everything was exceptional. The Reuben was fantastic, and I have enough leftovers for two more meals at home. The fried chicken and mashed potatoes were juicy and crispy—a real treat. My daughter did mention that her nachos had too many toppings, but that's just a minor issue. The onion rings were crispy and satisfying; they really got that just right, which isn’t always easy. Overall, the flavors were fantastic, and the portions were generous! The prices are reasonable—not cheap, but definitely fair. My Beefeater martini was perfectly crafted and only $7! (I should have ordered another since my wife is the designated driver...) I highly recommend this place! Go before they change the kitchen staff!

Lux Bar and Grill in Grosse Pointe has swiftly become one of my favorite local gems. Their happy hour menu is exceptional, offering a wide variety of choices that cater to every taste. The Brussels sprouts are a must-try; they’re perfectly crispy and bursting with flavor. We also love the calamari, which is always cooked to tender perfection. For my main dish, the Lux burger is my absolute favorite. It’s a classic done right, and on days when I want to indulge a bit, the barbecue Lux burger hits the spot. When it comes to drinks, their martinis are unmatched and have become my go-to beverage. However, what really distinguishes Lux is its warm and welcoming atmosphere. The cozy setting, combined with the friendly staff, ensures that every visit is memorable. These attributes truly make Lux Bar and Grill a cherished spot in the community.

Tried luxe for the first time and definitely won't be returning. The food was awful and extremely overpriced. Everything is under seasoned and the salmon special I ordered was literally sitting in a pool of oil. I ordered chicken tenders and fries for my daughter and she took one bite of the chicken. My dog ate the rest. The calamari was terrible. The breading was mush and tasteless. The best thing was the asparagus that came with the meal.

Cute place, great food, friendly staff. It sounds so basic, but the grilled cheese and tomato soup was out of this world!!! Hubby loved his mushroom burger and raved about the arugula potatoes (he only allowed me to have literally one piece). The calamari and wings were just okay. The next time we go, we'll definitely be trying some different starters.
