My favorite little restaurant in Arzamas. Affordable but really delicious!

We had lunch at RIO on August 19, 2023, and it was a wonderful establishment. The food was excellent and satisfying, with generous portions. We really enjoyed it, and I think we will definitely visit again during our future trips to Arzamas. I highly recommend it!

The restroom constantly lacks soap and has an unpleasant odor, but at first glance, it seems clean. There's a terrible smell of smoke, despite the ban in public places. FLIES!! They are everywhere—on you, in your plate, on your glass. I managed to kill three, and five others were buzzing around, annoying us. The waitstaff don’t seem to know the menu well. The food is mediocre. I had a decent Caesar salad, but the meat was overcooked and tough to chew. There’s no good wine, and the cocktails are unappetizing. I ordered a sour cream cake, but they brought a chocolate cake, which turned out to be tasty. I added a star for the renovation and location. The prices are reasonable. After a five-year absence, or maybe even longer, I visited last week and was reluctantly back this week. Nothing has changed; the same crowd and same quality of food. I know what a good restaurant is and what quality food tastes like. I've never written a review before, but I just couldn't hold back this time. There's not a single place in the entire city that's both delicious and appealing.

For Arzamas, it's probably very good. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
