Miners Saloon - Golden

Michael and I arrived after dark in Golden and needed a place to eat. We scrolled through restaurants on Google and found this one. The menu looked great with good prices, so we headed on over. We were not disappointed! I ordered the Potted Egg... I couldn't have been happier. How can you go wrong with cheese and an egg... you can't. Although it's an appetizer, it's perfect as a dish for one person. Michael ordered the chili hot dog, and although he didn't finish it, he absolutely enjoyed every bite! (We brought that home. I don't usually do this, because it can be a huge mistake, but last night, I let the bartender make me a drink his choice. I let him know I like sour, sweet, spicy, and a base of gin. He made me the St. George. I wrote down the ingredients it was that delicious! I also think our waiter was surprised by how much serrano chili syrup I liked in my drink. It was so good though! Thank you Miner's Saloon! Edit: We've come back for another visit, and again, we weren't disappointed! Yum! We swung by for a couple of drinks and a light dinner. Their tomato soup is fantastic, and yet again, I let the bartender make me a spicy gin based drink. Did not disappoint! Can't wait to go back.

As we gear up for another shutdown this Friday evening, I'm relieved that Miners has a dog-friendly outdoor patio that will stay open. They’re also adding more seating in the alley, complete with new gas heat lamps for added comfort. The restaurant takes COVID safety seriously, and it’s clear that 99% of the customers do too. The delicious food and great beer selection will carry on!

Fantastic spot! We ended up visiting twice. In the afternoon, the sun streams into the bar seating area, creating a lovely atmosphere. During our first stop, we just enjoyed a beer, but on our second visit, we had a beer along with some appetizers while deciding where to have dinner. It's a nice, laid-back place with plenty of great seating options both indoors and outdoors. They also have an excellent selection of beers!

Fantastic spot! Noah, the owner, is a wonderful guy who works at the bar and enjoys chatting with guests. We actually started our day here, explored other bars, and ended up coming back! The homemade ricotta is incredible, and the roast beef French dip is outstanding. My husband loved the killer Bloody Mary, while I really enjoyed the Huckleberry vodka lemonade.

The appetizers and meals are excellent. The bar area is nice, and the seating arrangements are cozy. It's a fantastic date night location just off Main Street in Golden. They occasionally have live music, so the place can get busy quickly.
