Bidrage med feedbackThis used to be one of my fave restaurants since 2003 ish. But, when me and mom went a few days ago, the guy working there told us I have to tell you that we put pork in EVERYTHING it tastes better . And he really meant EVERYTHING, even though there is no information about this in the menu, on the website or next to the different dishes. So basically, the chicken stew or vegetarian stew all made with some type of pork fat, stock, whatever. Very disappointing to have learned this, after years and years of eating there, eating pork unknowingly. Cant believe that a restaurant would limit their food and also guests this way. So yeah, for now, i can not eat at that restaurant anymore, until they ease off the pork
We walked over for lunch as it was near our hotel, service was poor as soon as we got in. Nevertheless, we decided to look past the rude service as my elderly parents were a little hungry and wanted Chinese cuisine. The food, despite having many varieties in its buffet spread, was pretty average in our opinion. Having said that, the restaurant was half full so it would seem others were less particular than us as the price is indeed good value for money. We had just one serving and left. The food we can forgive, the poor service is a little harder to swallow.
The Ching Palace should utilise its name more appropriately and start selling ching, because they seemingly have no expertise in the restaurant business. Even if you’re homeless and the last place that’s open is Ching Palace, go in there, steal a bottle of chilli sauce and put it on whatever you’ve found in the bin or the gutter. That will be much tastier. Ching Place is the culinary equivalent of Crohn’s disease, which if you’ve eaten there, you may well be suffering from. Do yourself a favour, go to bed hungry this time. I would rather suck on David Lopan’s balls continuously for a whole year, than eat one more thing in the Ching Palace.
I should have paid more attention to the average review, but I went by the more recent ones which were mostly positive. Unfortunately, my decision was wrong. Ching Palace's buffet left much to be desired, especially considering the higher evening price. Aside from some tasty items in the sushi selection, the abundance of salt in most dishes, particularly the Thai curries, was overwhelming. This turned what should have been a pleasant dining experience into a disappointing one. To make matters worse, even soft drinks were not included in the buffet price, unlike other similar restaurants in Sweden. Overall, I cannot give a positive review of this establishment.
The front service staff were rude and discriminatory to my family and I as we stepped into the restaurant; my Wife and 2 kids were made to feel very unwelcome. When i remarked on the poor service, the 2 serving staff dared us to report them. We left without ordering. We will never return to that restaurant, worst service we’ve encountered ever in any city.
