Bidrage med feedbackMy wife and I came yesterday at our time of booking of 15.45, which we accepted, gave us a lot of time before they showed the last bus to lanark around 17.20 and were immediately shown to our table. we ordered two aperol spruce and placed our. order for a big calamari for starter and ordered both pizza as our main. the calamari was beautiful with a beautiful, crisp lightbatter. we waited and waited and waited for our head. we stopped one of the waiters to ask us what our head was waiting for. Finally, around 16.45 I approached a coworker and told her to cancel our order as we were not willing to overthrow our meal to catch our bus. I also told her that she informed the manager that I didn't charge for what we already had. I would also point out that the restaurant was not busy. to be fair, the manager came to our table and apologized profusely and offered us our main as takeaway and the entire meal and drinks without fee. it seems that our waitress had not placed the order for our main. all good for him, realistic, to do everything he could in this late century. not ideal to eat reheated pizza at home, but better than nothing. unfortunately, the service appears to be a problem with previous reviews and not our experience at previous visits.
Nice eating, pizza and pasta beautiful, but service in general is bad.. 30 min wait before they also order drinks. then took 15 minutes to deliver them to table. ..top left on table, no one asked if eating ok. after service no one came to ask if we needed anything else ..: service slow and underwhelming ....
Eating was absolutely amazing, service fantastic and beautiful wee place to eat and plentiful lush cocktails, defo back!
We had booked a table which was good as it did look quite busy. Table was good but it was the only one by the toilet access point therefore were constantly met with people back forth to toilet. The host did not seem interested...in sparking conversation and more wanted us seated and to get on with doing their job which was a little dismissive we felt. The menu was fine, enough choice for us all and we were happy to know that we could ask for food without something in it if we wanted. Wait time was fine, we had decided to order some food to share between us rather than individual meals. Ordered the following which I’ll provide opinion on: Chicken leca leca great, best thing we had to eat. Chicken was tender and lovely and crisp breadcrumb too. Antipasti Classico well, this is not like the picture. There was 3 tiny bits of ham, a very crispy garlic bread and the rest was just placed on and was fine, disappointing. Butterfly king prawn dried out, no flavour and soggy bits of toast which were stuck to the dish. Rosemary roast potatoes this was the tiniest dish of baby boiled potatoes cut in half and thrown on a dish and likely stuck under a grill quickly. They were dried out had no flavour. Salami Mista Pizza ordered with garlic base rather than tomato. Something was “off” with this pizza, each of us tasted individually and 2 of us had to discard what was in their mouths it was that bad. Calzone Carne this was actually very tasty and best thing we ate. Once the food was out down we asked for Mayo which they only had garlic Mayo (this was fine) so they brought 3 which had obviously been poured earlier and had crusted over yuk! No body came to check on us during our meal to see how things were, we couldn’t get anyones attention either, not even for a drink. We eventually got the host (who didn’t seem happy to be called over) and explained the situation that no one had seen us to ask and we think the salami pizza was “off”. We didn’t complain about anything else. He took it away and didn’t say anything at that point like to offer a replacement or take off bill etc. he was away for about 10 mins before returning to tell us the salami was fresh that day and in date. It felt like it was our fault we ALL thought something wasn’t right. It took for my mum to ask “what are you going to do about it” until any resolution was forthcoming. We had it taken off our bill in the end, it just seemed like it was an inconvenience. The restaurant was lovely and looked great (also nice outdoor seating for when weather permitted), when we visited the toilets at end of our visit there was 1 awfully left cubicle and clearly no one had been in to clean these for a little while, it was quite off-putting. I think we were let down by customer service and some disappointment in dishes on this occasion. I’d likely still try it again in hope it was a one off experience as this was my first time there.
Love this place Good value and a superb location right beside the bus station means it’s popular and busy at the same time
