Grand Lux Cafe - Garden City

Elizabeth D. is a big no! Worst service ever! The food was amazing, but I would never go back because of Elizabeth D. She was so rude and seemed racist. I made a reservation for my husband's birthday for a party of 8, about 3 weeks in advance. The reservation was honored, but the service was terrible. Our server, Elizabeth D., was the worst. She was forgetful, rushed us, and ruined the whole experience. She brought out the cake early, rushed us to finish, and even took my husband's plate without asking. She was disrespectful and did not let us enjoy the celebration. The check was brought out before we finished eating the cake. It was an awful experience, and I will never return because of Elizabeth D.'s terrible service.

We recently celebrated a birthday with a large party at this restaurant. Despite not normally taking reservations for 22 people, Bruno, one of the managers, was extremely helpful. It did take some time to get seated, but once we were, the service was excellent. My family had a great time and we want to thank Bruno, as well as our servers O'Neil and Jenny, for their outstanding service.

This cafe serves the best Irish Coffee I have ever had. Bartender Maria consistently creates the perfect drink every time!
