Cook Saddle Cafe Saloon

The service is excellent, and the burger is outstanding. The restaurant has a lovely decor and stays open late. It's a must-visit if you're in Fox Glacier—great job!

The pub offers excellent food. The 250g steak topped with prawns and garlic sauce was delicious, and the hoki was also quite tasty. The prices are reasonable, definitely more affordable than in Hokitika, and the atmosphere is lovely with friendly staff. The only downside was some tourists smoking in the outdoor non-smoking area, but that seems to be common these days.

I had dinner here two nights in a row, including my 10-year anniversary dinner. It’s a warm and cozy place. The seafood chowder was the best I’ve ever had; it was a chef’s special, so it’s not on the regular menu. I also spotted two Keas outside in the evening.

Stopped into the cafe for a coffee after walking to see Fox Glacier. Awesome friendly staff gave us great service and the coffee was excellent. Quite a cool looking little cafe/bar with a good feel to it. Fireplace inside looked nice and cosy for those chilly West Coast days in other seasons.

Stopped in for a drink and a snack just to break up our days drive. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.
