I attended the BBQ 101 class at Panther Cities today, and I must say, Chris and Ernie did an amazing job accommodating all skill levels. Lunch was included, which was a nice bonus! The highlight for me was the opportunity to ask these talented pitmasters about their techniques while they were cooking. Their willingness to share insights really made me rethink how and why I approach my own cooking. Thank you for a fun and enlightening experience!
The staff here is friendly and helpful. You have to try the brisket—it's the standout dish on the menu. I also enjoy the ribs, which are perfectly tender and flavorful, and the meat doesn’t get stuck in your teeth. The flacos tacos are delicious, and the burnt ends are the best in the city. There’s so much to enjoy on the menu that you really have to experience it for yourself. The prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are generous. Just make sure to arrive early, as you might miss out on the best cuts. Parking is easy, and there's plenty of seating available.
I really enjoyed my first visit, but when I went today (Saturday, July 10 at 12:30 PM), the restaurant was completely closed. There was no sign explaining the reason—maybe there was a staff shortage? I hope you open up later or tomorrow.
Showed up near close and got a beautiful mashup of what hadn't sold out.Everything tastes great.The collard greens had some big pieces of bacon and a delicious fiber to a gastronomic meal.Grits were creamy, a little spicy, and lovely with the shredded cheese.The grits had more kick than the jalapeno cheese sausage. Great snap and smokey taste.Ribs were soft and sweet. Perfect fall off the bone finish. The sauce is high vinegar content to contrast the sweet rub of the ribs.
