Golden Corral Buffet Grill - Flint

My cucumber and I were there twice this summer, we found it very good to eat. eating was good and lunch buffet price is very good. we are both in our 70s, so we really enjoy a place like golden corral. very nice selection and a great dessert area. if they have any coupons, we will use them. The Buffet was awesome. I ate fried fish, baked fish. Bourbon street chicken, stuffing, corn, green beans, popcorn shrimp, peach cobbler, chocolate fudge,and sweet tea all for $9.49.

Everything on the menu is usually delicious and reasonably priced. However, recently, the early bird special has had its hours cut and its price increased.

This is a very clean, efficient, and well organized buffet. While the wait staff and bus people were pleasant and friendly the young man at the register was just the opposite. He is the first employee you meet when entering this establishment, and that person should at least pretend to be happy that you are about to spend forty dollars at that moment. However, he never spoke except to tell us how much it would be, not did he make eye contact even for a second. His countenance, and overall demeanor was such that one doesn't feel welcome at all. The food was plentiful, well stocked, and of very good to excellent quality. The only exception to what otherwise would have been a completely satisfactory experience was the young man at the register who either needs to make a major personality adjustment or relegated to the dish washing area away from customers.

I have a former background in food service. Quality of the food was highly variable. Most dishes were at the proper holding temperature, but there were a few that weren't. There was a tomato and cucumber salad where where the color was off and it appeared sketchy. I would not have served it and I sent mine back without tasting it. I always feel that I have to eat cautiously when I eat here. The desserts are to die for. Wait staff was friendly and attentive.
