Garufa Argentinean - El Paso

My wife and I went for dinner at 6:30 on Friday evening. It is immediately apparent upon entry that someone has worked diligently to create a fine dining atmosphere more akin to what you might expect 20 yeas ago. We were seated and our orders were taken promptly. The food was extraordinary; better than we have had in comparable restaurants in town. The carne empanada was delicious. The steak and beef tenderloin were cooked perfectly, the potatoes were fluffy andflavorful, and the sauce for my wife?s dish was amazing. Dessert was equally good. The flan was done properly, with unique flavors. My wife?s dessert was unlike anything we?ve ever tried and exquisite. Service throughout our visit wasprompt and polite. The ambience was extremely pleasant, with music loud enough to hear but not so loud as to compete with conversation. Best of all, live music began at approximately 7pm, and was again at the perfect volume. I highlyrecommend this establishment, and we will be visiting again.

Proposed to my fiance in this great restaurant. From the owner to the waiters and waitresses, food and drinks everything was perfect. The plan was to play a song while at the end of our dinner then as the song finished I propose on my knee followed by some Roses and chocolates that the waiters would bring and the plan worked perfect everybody played a part to make this a special and memorable story to tell. Thank you Lourdes for making this happen. Very romantic atmosphereand would definitely recommend to be in el pasos top ten.

The food was pretty good but not what I would expect at the price point. Service was okay. The building is big but seating area is relatively small. It wasn?t very busy yet we kept getting forgotten and had to wait a long time just to order. Would not recommend nor will I go again.

Spent Valentines Dinner at Garufa with my wife. The Steak was DELICIOUS!!! Everything was terrific except the dessert. Definitely going to come back and try the regular menu. The atmosphere was very romantic and the service was excellent. It was a very remarkable evening. Thank you.

Perfect, tasty, enjoyable, great ambiance and exceptional conversation with the server. Cocktails were great. Food was spectacular. It may be quite pricey for some but worth it. Great spot for birthdays you get a fiery treat! I appreciate the no happy birthday song... but that's just me!
