Applebee's Grill - El Cajon

Our server was David. He was by far the beat server we have had there in a while. His communications were great and he was so busy and yet we never waited long.

I went to Applebee's Grill & Bar for lunch, and I was pleased to find they had some great specials. I ordered the 6 oz. steak cooked medium rare, which came out sizzling alongside mashed potatoes and broccoli—it was excellent! My husband opted for a burger topped with a sweet barbecue sauce, paired with French fries, and he enjoyed it as well. We also had two iced teas. The service was quick and friendly, and the prices were very reasonable, with plenty of menu options to choose from. This place is definitely worth a visit! As for parking, we went early for lunch, and there was plenty of space available.

I always enjoy visiting this Applebee's. The staff is consistently friendly and courteous. I went there with a friend, and we kicked things off with their new margaritas (I can’t remember the name, but they were delicious!). For an appetizer, we shared the spinach and artichoke dip; I just wish we had more chips to go with it, but it was still tasty. I ordered the Bourbon Street chicken with shrimp and garlic green beans, while my friend had the four-cheese mac and cheese paired with honey pepper chicken tenders. Our waiter was very accommodating regarding her strict vegetarian preference, ensuring there was no meat in her sauce. Overall, it was a wonderful dinner and experience, just like always.

The food was exactly what I anticipated—standard corporate fare. I had to ask the server three times for the margarita I had ordered. He was polite but lacked any charm or personality; it felt like talking to a piece of celery.
