Brownstone Pancake Factory - Edgewater

The salmon eggs Benedict were delicious, but the homemade potatoes were not very good and lacked salt. The pancakes were dry, which was disappointing considering this is a pancake restaurant. The toppings on the pancakes helped add some flavor, but they should be softer and melt in your mouth. Overall, the pancakes could use more effort to improve the taste and texture.

We made reservations two hours in advance, but upon arrival we were informed that reservations only put your name on the list and the table was not ready. We ended up waiting an additional hour before being seated. Once we finally sat down, we ordered our food which was just okay, nothing special. The server, Sam, was excellent. However, the service was slow in getting our food and the bathroom was dirty. Overall, we would give it a six out of ten. It's like IHOP but more expensive and with an attitude towards certain unique items. Not worth the time.

My friends and I decided to have breakfast/brunch on a Sunday morning. We drove from the city through the GWB, and it took us about 20 minutes to get there. The journey back to the city was around 50 minutes. The restaurant offered free parking, which was convenient. We were seated promptly upon arrival. We ordered the breakfast combo with eggs over easy, pancakes, eggs Benedict, and boiled eggs. The boiled eggs and eggs Benedict came with spicy roasted potatoes. The portions were quite large, and we ended up taking home some of the pancakes. The restaurant also had delicious shakes, although they were too filling. The staff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was pleasant, though slightly noisy. Please note that the restaurant charges a 3% fee for credit card payments, but there is an ATM available to avoid this fee. The bathroom was clean, and the restaurant seemed accessible for handicapped individuals. Our bill, which included ice tea, coke, and coffee, came to $60 before tips.

It was completely amazing! For starters the Hot Chocolate was sooo good. Then the food was really great! I got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Churro French Toast, and it was a dream, it felt more like dessert than breakfast though ???? I had a bit of myfriends items, and they were good as well, specially the Mushroom, Cheese and Spinach omelets, was really good. The onlydownside is that you have to wait for quite sometime, but it's understandable since it's quite a popular spot. ?? 100% Recommendand amazing service by staff. Definitely coming back for more!

It’s super popular for a reason (be ready to wait). The food is very tasty and rich in flavors (and calories for sure) and in a large portion, but price is reasonable. Great choice if such classic brunch is exactly what you’re looking for!
