Hogstone's Wood Oven - EASTSOUND

Great pizza. We tried the chicken wings which were crispy and Smokey. The hot honey onion pizza is great but very hot.

Really good. The Radicchio appetizer is the best interpretation of that vegetable I've tasted. And pizzas are great too. Yet another place in Orcas that is of a quality unexpected in a place this small.

We booked Hogstone recently for our wedding and I just can't say enough good things. The food was everything we wanted and more. (the pizza specifically was SO GOOD). People kept raving that food is never that good at weddings but that the Hogstone team did everything right! When we had to re-schedule due to COVID they were so understanding and kind and worked with us despite a venue change that made things much harder on them. Thanks for making our day so special and delicious.

We were thrilled to score a reservation at James Beard recognized local chef Jay Blackinton’s Hogstone. Pictured here is corn grit and tomato macerated strawberry and snap pea salad. The pizzas with the cheddar cheese dipping mousse are a must while in town!

Small plates from here were particularly delicious (squash, potatoes with cheese, and roasted cauliflower). Pizza was excellent as well, including their gluten free crust. And the ice creams they make wow! Definitely more adult, savory sort of flavors though, so be warned kiddos might be less into them. A bit pricey but quality is high so will likely be back.
