Vesta Wood Fired - East Rutherford

The pizza didn't have the authentic flavor typical of wood-fired pizzas; it tasted more like a frozen pizza that had been reheated. I wouldn't return.

I absolutely love Vesta! The food is fantastic! We had the cowardly and prosciutto with honey—so tender and delicious. The fried artichokes with aioli were amazing, and the Margarita pizza was spot on! Our host Mirna was delightful, and Frank, the owner, truly knows how to treat his guests. I can't wait to return, and thank you for a wonderful evening!

The restaurant has made some questionable choices with their menu, but the staff executes their service well. For instance, it's puzzling why they would serve a delightful PEI mussel dish in a pan lined with fries that turn into unappetizing mush just minutes after being served. The mozzarella in the caprese salad was fantastic, but placing a huge chunk on top of a single slice of an unusually large tomato just misses the mark. The ideal presentation would be small, thin slices of fresh, delicious tomatoes topped with mozzarella. Considering the prices at this wood-fired pizza place, they need to improve their menu choices if they want to elevate the dining experience.
