Piccolo Arancio - East Otis

I visited this restaurant last night for Valentine’s Day, and the first indication that something was off was the 30-minute wait, despite having a reservation. No big deal, we thought, but once seated, it took almost 45 minutes for us to receive bread, which struck me as odd. The appetizer arrived more promptly, and the calamari was decent. However, the main issue was the service. It felt as though the manager prioritized other tables over ours. While the waitstaff was friendly and apologetic, we couldn’t shake the feeling that we were being overlooked. We tried to be understanding given the holiday, but waiting two hours for our meal without any acknowledgment was simply unacceptable. I believe my money is just as valuable as anyone else's. As for the food, it was average at best; I had the lamb with spinach and mashed potatoes, and my partner ordered swordfish. For the price, the portions were quite small. Given this experience, we won’t be returning for another meal.

The staff here are extremely friendly, and the food is outstanding!
